F1 makes all the time more and more politics instead of racing

Today's GP in India revealed us the case we've got a little doubt of for some time now.

First they put extra fuel into Kimi's car, second they took him for the first pit a bit too early, that pit was 6,4 seconds for no reason. Comparing to Romain's pit stop that took only 2,7 seconds we are aware of teams favorite driver.

As GP continued team informed Kimi that he has too little fuel to make him wait for Romain. Soon after that Kimi's hard tyre set was done. Still the team didn't want to take Kimi into pit to make sure Romain will be faster at the end of the race.

Kimi's tyre set was finished in the lap 45 and the only reason he could still fight to Nico and others is he is one of the five fastest drivers in F1. After making sure Romain has overtaken Kimi they could take him in to pit to make the fastest lap of the race in the final lap.

Anybody able to think and calculate is able to see the politics in Lotus F1 team's work. That's quite clear keeping in mind team chief Eric Boullier is Romain Grosjean's manager and they'll lose Kimi to Ferrari in 2014. If the team couldn't show they still have some chances in F1 world after losing Kimi they would't ever get any sponsor to give them some money.

On the other hand they had a chance to get two guys into podium. Kimi as second and Romain as third would make better show for any sponsor to get some money. And besides that they'd get money for team points getting second place after Red Bull Racing.

For political reasons that was not what they did want, especially when Kimi had a good money for points he gains for the team.

To my opinion Lotus F1 team is not fair to Kimi: a driver that has given them a good position in F1 in 2012 and 2013. Romain is a fast driver, no doubt about that but still for the best results it did count to put effort for both drivers like they've done in 2012 and in first half of 2013.
